Janta Meals Nutritious, hygienic and affordable food in low income urban settlements in India We serve meals that are cooked to taste just like home-cooked food!

Janta Meals is a social enterprise that aims to make hygienically prepared, nutritious food accessible and affordable to all. Our first restaurant opened in July 2013 in Gurgaon and we have grown rapidly since then. With 21 restaurants in Gurgaon as of January 2015, the demand for our meals is every increasing. Migrants living in urban areas come to our restaurants to have home-style meals that ar

e not available at dhabas or hotels. Our meals start at Rs. 20 for 5 chapatis, subzee, salad and chutney. One can also avail a full meal with rice and dal for Rs. 30 and with a special paneer dish for Rs. 40. We reach our final customers through two means - we set up restaurants in bastis and informal areas where our customer stays and can easily reach, and we also do bulk catering to construction sites, factories, etc. so that we can reach them at their work! We aim to make homely food available and affordable for all.
