The Little Red Hen
Story By - F.W. Williams
Narrated By - Ms Nidhiluxmi

Folk Tales as they say are the windows to the truths of life. What makes them more powerful is the fact that these truths remain timeless. In the second episode of Heads for Tales, I would be narrating a Russian FolkTale that became popular in America in the 1940s.
The Little Red Hen was written by Florence White Williams, an artist and illustrator in the early 20th Century.

The Red Rice Granary
Story By - Padam Shree Sudha Murthy
Narrated By - Ms Nidhiluxmi

India is a land of many languages and dialects. Among many others, India has also been successful in Indianizing English.
In our first episode of , I would be narrating a story of a writer who is proud of her Indian heritage and isn’t afraid to voice her bold opinions on Education, Gender Discrimination and Human Rights in a unique, free-flowing form of English, understood by most Indians. She chooses to write without any ornamentation as she believes that the ideas and thoughts are more powerful and should be able to reach the common man.
A simpleton at heart, Sudha Murthy is an author, philanthropist, Engineering Professor, and the director of Infosys Foundation. Her vast and varied experiences are the source of her stories and therefore, are honest and relatable.
In this story, Sudha Murthy talks about donation in times of crisis. This story might help us to navigate through Covid-19 Pandemic by making us realize our duty to donate with a clear conscience and the right intent.

Read and Strengthen your brain's connectivity!

According to Marian Wolf, a cognitive scientist and reading scholar reading has the power to change the structure of the brain. She elaborates this in her book "Proust And The Squid: The Story And Science Of The Reading Brain": Humans invented reading only five thousand years ago, and with this invention, the brain was rearranged, which expanded the ways we think, and this, in turn, left its mark on the mental development of the human race".

Wolf also adds, "The inventions of our previous ancestors would not have been possible without the mind's superior ability to create new connections between its existing parts, a process that occurs due to the brain's flexibility and its ability to form a new through experiences."
