The third day of the Sikkim Book Fair 2026 had the presence of Shri. Sandeep Tambe, IFS as Chief Guest and Shri. Choppel Lepcha, Secretary, School Education as Guest of Honor. Shri. Raj Maharaj, Advisor to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Sikkim and Additional Political Secretary, Pakyong District, Shri. Bishal Sharma attended the event as special guests who came to encourage the stalls and the Book Fair.
The Day long session had events and engagements with the highlight of the day being poetry recitation competitions for college students and panel discussions by teachers from colleges and schools. An author panel discussion, where local authors were invited also was the highlight of the day.
The evening had the graceful presence of Ms. Shalini Modi, an acclaimed author who was invited to provide a perspective on books and reading as a part of the Sikkim Book Fair.
The evening closed with winners of school level and college level competition declared by District Magistrate Gangtok, Shri. Tushar Nikhare, IAS. The winners for the school was Modern Senior Secondary School and the winners for the college was Medhavi Skills University.
The three days book fair had great participation from schools, colleges, parents and guardians making it an event to remember for all!
