Inheriting the Kingdom
After entering into the spiritual Kingdom of God, it is necessary for every child of God to inherit the Kingdom of God. “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these, Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying, murders, drunkenness, reveling, and such like,; the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the Kingdom of God.” (Gal. 5:19-21)
Unless a person overcomes the works of the flesh, he cannot possess the spiritual kingdom. Some of the work of the flesh can easily be identified such as adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, murders, drunkenness, reveling etc.
But hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envying and the like, cannot be identified easily. Often these things become close associates of the children of God. Hating a brother or sister who is not following our principles or who refuses to accept all what one says, is very common these days. Anger slowly takes the form of wrath and waits for an opportunity to take the revenge. Jealousy is very common among the saints. Strife and seditions have also become the family members of a child of God. Unless these things are completely identified and removed from one’s life, a child of God cannot inherit the Kingdom of God.
