Therefore, based on principles of astrology and the other materials, the financial astrologer is able to forecast the tendencies in stock markets in future and probable outcome of the specific investment.

Financial astrology is not an exact science it is considered as a viable tool by which people think they can get proper understanding of the trends of financial markets and assist them in enhancing their investment decision. However, the things that are pointed out by financial astrology must not be depended on directly as the only means for making investment decisions and qualified financial advice should always be sought.

Although Jaimini system of Astrology is generally considered to be an offshoot of Traditional Parasari system, in fact it is a part and parcel of ancient Indian Astrology.
There are certain delicate niceties, which make the system so unique. In many cases, it will be found that sage Jaimini had dispensed with cumbersome calculations, and instead had offered some simple yet very useful methods. In this system, the signs are given relatively more importance, and the 'aspects' are considered of signs - not of planets (which happens in traditional Parasari system). The Dasha-systems are also distinctly different; in most cases*, those are not of planets - but of signs; those are not at all dependent on the longitude of the Moon, and there is no question of finding the Balance of Dasha at birth; the durations of all the Dashas- including that of the commencing one - are always in terms of a number of full years.

Guidance for finding a suitable day for Namkaran :

Counting from the child's date of birth, the 10th or the 12th or the 16th day will be a suitable day for this purpose. But if this had not been done, then a suitable day for this ceremony should be selected by considering the following factors :

(1) The weekday should be : Thursday or Friday or Wednesday or Monday. The other weekdays are not auspicious for the occasion and hence those are to be avoided.

(2) The Tithis to be avoided are : Chaturthi, Shashthi, Ashtami, Navami, Dwadashi, Chaturdashi, Poornima and Amavashya. Any tithi among the remaining others can be selected.

(3) The favourable Nakshatra days are : Ashwini, Rohini, Mrigashira, Punarvasu, Pushya, Magha, Uttara-phalguni, Hasta, Swati, Uttarashada, Shravana, Dhanishtha, Shatavisha, Uttara-bhadra and Revati. Any of these Nakshatra days might be selected for the occasion.

The Lagna of the Muhurtha chart should be such that :

(1) Jupiter remains in Lagna or in the 4th or in the 7th or in the 10th while a malefic planet (the Sun or Mars or Saturn or Rahu or Ketu) is situated in the 11th house from the Lagna.

Or :

(2) The Lagna should be Sagittarius or Pisces or Libra or Ta**us or Gemini or Virgo or Cancer, while a malefic planet (the Sun or Mars or Saturn or Rahu or Ketu) is situated in the 3rd house from the Lagna and Venus is situated in the 12th house from the Lagna.

Unlike traditional Parashari system, the reckoning in Jaimini system is sometimes in usual "zodiacal" order, while at some other times it is in "reversed" order. It is perhaps this characteristic nicety of the system - which makes some of the learners pretty nervous, or confused, or even afraid. But if a person is really endowed with an alert mind, sharp intelligence, retentive memory, and capacity to concentrate, then with some years' of profound studies and practical experience, he/ she can develop a fairly good insight, and look forward to becoming fully capable of handling the horoscopes quite easily. But it deserves mentioning here that one must not expect to master the subject in double-quick fashion and vini-vidi-vici style; if anybody tries to do so, then he/ she should rather remember the well-known and meaningful word - which Napoleon had struck out from his dictionary.
