Books train your imagination to think big.

My interest in reading books has no age limit. You can provide even toddler books to me, and I will be happy to read those books entirely. My parents identify that I am back home for holidays by seeing the plethora of books of various types like magazines, fiction and non-fiction. I will be surrounded by books, making the room look like a bookshop.

When I was working in an IT company in 2002, I used to go to my cousin's home during weekends. At that place, I got to read a series of stories from a popular magazine from 1960. I never limited myself to books from an era. Even now, that magazine is very famous among people for its content. Reading is my way of relaxing. I am sure that I inherited the habit from my grandfather, a great scholar and lawyer in his days.

I shifted to Chennai in 2010, with no bookshops or libraries near my area. I was so obsessed with reading that I travelled 10-15 km to buy books. I vividly recollect my husband giving me an unforgettable gift for my birthday; my favourite magazines. He got them from far away. This need for a bookstore made my friends and myself start BooksLounge, our brainchild. BooksLounge gives incredible happiness and satisfaction to the book lovers around us.

BooksLounge is stepping into its 10th year since we started it. I hope to celebrate more years of success with your heartfelt wishes and support.
