BUTTER COOKIES

🌟 INGREDIENTS:

◾️200g butter (room temperature)
◾️120g sugar
◾️280g wheat flour
◾️1 teaspoon vanilla essence

🌟 PREPARATION

◾️In a bowl start by mixing the butter with the sugar.

(Remember that butter must be at room temperature in order to work well with it.)

◾️Once mixed, add in the teaspoon of vanilla essence.

◾️We continue with the sifted flour. Run the flour through a sinker before putting it into the bowl, and blend it in pretty well.

◾️Now it's time to shape them up. The easiest thing is to make a roll with the help of paper film and put it in the fridge for 1 hour or so.

◾️From there on, we'll be "cutting slices" of more or less 1 cm and baking them.

◾️Put them in a cut oven tray and bake them at 180° for about 11-12 minutes.

◾️The moment we see the edges starting to gold we take them out, even it's still soft.

◾️Consume your butter cookies with joy.

BREAD BUNS RECIPE

🌟 INGREDIENTS

◾️Flour - 1kg
◾️Egg Yolk - 1
◾️Salt - ½ tsp
◾️Butter - 1tbsp
◾️Milk flavour - 2tbs
◾️Yeast - 2tbs
◾️Groundnut oil - 1tbsp
◾️Sugar - 200g

🌟 PROCEDURE

◾️Mix the butter, flour, salt, milk flavour and yeast together.

◾️Get another plate and add your egg york and add little water.

◾️Add it to the mix flour and mix everything together untill its soft

◾️Roll it like a ball and allow it to rise for 30-45mins.

◾️Bake at 180°c and check it regularly untill it like this 👇👇

Custard cookies.

Ingredients

Icing sugar: 150g
Margerine/Butter: 250g
Egg: 1pc
Flour: 300g
Custard powder: 150g

Method
In a bowl, mix the flour and custard powder.

In another bowl, cream butter/margerine and icing sugar for few minutes, add the whisked egg and then the flour mixture.

Scoop and mould into a ball with your palms, Use fork to press it down slightly. bake moderately in a pre-heated oven for about 15-20mins.

Allow to cool a bit, store in a Glass jar with lid or an airtight container

Brown sugar cookies
Ingredients
1 & 1/2 cups All Purpose Flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter (room temp)113g
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
4 Tbsp golden syrup or honey
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions
1.In a large bowl, sift all the dry ingredients together(except sugar ). Add sugar then whisk .

2. Rub in the butter until you get a crumbly mixture .

3. Add golden or honey and mix until it forms a dough .

4.Scoop out the dough using a spoon or an ice cream scoop. Form into balls .

5. Line the baking tray with parchment paper. Place the dough balls . Slightly flatten each with a spoon or your palm .

6. Bake in a preheated oven at 180 Degrees Celsius for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown .

*Make sure the oven is very hot before baking , it will help to give the cookies those cracks .

BUTTER COOKIES

INGREDIENTS
▢1 cup butter (16 tablespoons or 230g) softened and at room temperature
▢½ cup granulated sugar (100g)
▢1 large egg at room temperature
▢2 teaspoons vanilla extract
▢2 cups all purpose flour (250g) spooned and leveled to measure
▢¼ teaspoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS
◾Preheat oven to 350° F (180° C).
◾Line two large baking sheets with parchment paper.
◾In a large bowl and using a hand mixer, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. About 2 minutes.
◾Add the egg and vanilla extract then beat to combine.
◾Add in the flour and salt, and beat to form a dough. It will take a while but keep beating just until the mixture comes together.
◾Place the dough into a piping bag fitted with an open star piping tip or a closed star piping tip.
◾Pipe the cookies into 1-2 inch swirl circles or roses, leaving at least one-inch of space between each cookie.
◾Bake one sheet of cookies at a time in preheated oven for 15 minutes until slightly golden brown.
◾Start checking around 12 minutes. The cookies might be ready around 12 minutes if you made them smaller. But if you made them larger, there might need a few more minutes in the oven.
◾Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet.
◾Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes
1. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days. Cookies can also be frozen for up to a month. Let them cool completely then put them in a freezer-safe airtight bag and freeze them.

2. To secure parchment paper onto the baking sheet, use some of the cookie dough as glue to glue the parchment paper on 4 spots (close to the sides) of the baking sheet.

5. Put them in a cut oven tray and bake them at 180° for about 11-12 minutes. The moment we see the edges starting to gold we take them out. If you see that they are soft don't leave them anymore because I once made that mistake, when they cool they harden. So don't worry if you touch one and see it soft
