Well, we don’t want to burst your bubble, but white chocolate technically isn’t chocolate.
One of the main components of any chocolate is cacao, or cocoa, beans, whereas, white chocolates are made using cream or other dairy products & sugar, they would likely contain less than 10 percent of chocolate liquor.

Here’s the Story!

In 1930 Mrs. Ruth Graves Wakefield invented these Cookies to give their old butterscotch nut cookie with ice cream a twist … so she mixed up some chopped piece of a chocolate bar into her cookie dough, the chocolate pieces retained their original form & Voila! Chocolate chip cookies were created; Mrs. Ruth gave the cookies Recipe to a chocolate making company in exchange for Lifetime supply of Chocolates! And only after this, the Chocolate Chips we know of came into being!

While this tasty treat does have the name “German” in the title, it has absolutely nothing to do with the country itself. In 1852, an English-American chocolate maker named Samuel German came up with a recipe for “Sweet baking chocolate bars” that could be used when making cake. Sam, who worked for the “Baker Chocolate Company” The Company named it after him, but "German's Chocolate" didn't become well-known until 1957. That's when a Texas homemaker Mrs. George Clay sent her now-legendary cake recipe to a Dallas newspaper. The recipe was so popular that German's Chocolate sales shot up by 73 percent in one year. But somewhere along the way, German's Chocolate Cake lost its apostrophe-s, leaving Germany holding the credit for a classic American dessert!
