About the Book:

Angels and Demons was published on 28th August, 2010. It was the second bestseller written by the author, after The Da Vinci Code. The Da Vinci Code was more of treasure hunts and about things that fascinated Brown in his childhood. Angels and Demons is more about the unraveled truths and fights between religion and science and how it escalates into one big controversy. The secret brotherhood of the illuminati has always been a rival of the Catholic Church and now they are doing everything in their capability to destroy the Catholic Church. Robert Langdon is a world renowned symbologist from Harvard and is called upon the orders of the Swiss research facility to examine an anonymous symbol. This symbol was found carved on the chest of a physicist who was murdered. With all the clues gathered, he discovers that it could have been the work of the illuminati. They are the most influential underground organization ever to have walked the earth. On the eve of the Vatican's gathering, a messenger of the illuminati declares that they are going to blow up Vatican City as they have planted a bomb at the center of the city. With very less time in hand, Langdon rushes to Rome to try and stop the destruction. He and his partner Vittoria, an Italian scientist, set out to search through the deserted cathedrals, sealed crypts, catacombs and also the most secretive vault on planet earth. There are so many symbols involved that lead to the illuminati nest which was forgotten. Their quest to try and save the Vatican City is the most exciting crime story you can look for.

About the Book:
ARKADY RENKO RETURNS FOR HIS MOST ENIGMATIC AND BAFFLING CASE: THE DEATH OF ONE OF RUSSIA'S NEW BILLIONAIRES, WHICH LEADS HIM TO THE ZONE OF EXCLUSION -- CHERNOBYL, AND THE SURROUNDING AREAS, CLOSED TO THE WORLD SINCE THE NUCLEAR DISASTER OF APRIL 1986. In his groundbreaking Gorky Park, Martin Cruz Smith created one of the iconic detectives of contemporary fiction, Arkady Renko. Cynical, quietly subversive, brilliantly analytical and haunted by melancholy, Renko has survived, barely, the journey from the Soviet Union to the New Russia, only to find his transformed nation just as obsessed with secrecy, corruption and brutality as was the old Communist dictatorship. In Wolves Eat Dogs, Renko enters the privileged world of Russia's new billionaire class. The grandest of them all, a self-made powerhouse named Pasha Ivanov, has apparently leapt to his death from the palatial splendor of his ultra-modern Moscow condominium. While there are no signs pointing to homicide, there is one troubling and puzzling bit of evidence...in Ivanov's bedroom closet, there's a mountain of salt. Ivanov's demise ultimately leads Renko on a journey through Chernobyl's netherworld. The crimes he uncovers and the secrets they reveal about the New Russia, make for a tense, unforgettable adventure.

About the Book:

A farmhouse destroyed by fire. A body amongst the ruins.
Dr Kay Scarpetta, Chief Medical Examiner and consulting pathologist for the federal law enforcement agency ATF, is called out to a farmhouse in Virginia which has been destroyed by fire. In the ruins of the house she finds a body which tells a story of a violent and grisly murder. The fire has come at the same time as another, even more incendiary horror: Carrie Grethen, a killer who nearly destroyed the lives of Scarpetta and those closest to her, has escaped from a forensic psychiatric hospital. Her whereabouts is unknown, but her ultimate destination is not, for Carrie has begun to communicate with Scarpetta, conveying her deadly - if cryptic - plans for revenge. Chillingly mesmeric in tone, labyrinthine in structure, POINT OF ORIGIN is Patricia Cornwell at her most dazzling.

About the Book:
After her resignation as Virginia's Chief Medical Examiner and the horrifying events which threatened her life in The Last Precinct, Kay Scarpetta has abandoned her elegant home in Richmond and is quietly living in Florida, beginning to get some balance back in her life and slowly establishing herself as a private forensic consultant. But her past won't let her rest, and her grief for Benton Wesley continues to grow, not diminish, as does the rage within Lucy, her niece. Then the architect of her changed fortunes contacts her from his cell on death row: deformed, blinded by Scarpetta's own actions, incarcerated in Texas strongest prison, Jean-Baptiste Chardonne still has the ability to terrify. But, unkown to Scarpetta, there are other forces behind the wolfman's apparent actions, invisibly shepherding her and those closest to her towards eliminating those who threaten them all. And it is all orchestrated by the one man in her life who knows every nuance of her soul.

About the Book:

Asura: Tale Of The Vanquished, available in paperback, is a novel which narrates the epic tale of Ramayana from Ravan's and Bhadra's point of view. This book has tried to break out of the monotony of narrating stories from the victor's perspective. The story is a combination of history, religion and mythology.

This book tries to debunk the faults of the Deva clan, which is portrayed as orthodox and biased. It talks about the liberty the Asura community enjoyed. The story of Vamana and Mahabali is described, along with the Agni Pareeksha undergone by Sita and the meeting between Jataya and Ravana. The human emotions behind these tales are looked into in a different angle.

There is an attempt to keep a new perspective in front of people in a logical manner, regarding the various practices from the epic tale. The book makes the readers think about the unreasonable practices followed by the Brahmins then. Apart from that, Asura: Tale Of The Vanquished: The Story Of Ravana And His People introduces questions about Ravana's lifestyle, choices and decisions.

From Ravana's challenge to the Gods for his daughter, to setting people from the Deva clan free from evil, the book aims to make the readers think. Asura: Tale Of The Vanquished: The Story Of Ravana And His People, the first edition, was published on 25th April, 2012. It's a detailed piece of work and has twists and turns every now and then, keeping the reader gripped.

About the Book:

Forbidding peaks, resourceful commandos, beautiful spies, nonstop action, and neck-snapping plot twists make this the classic adventure thriller—the kind of page-turner that readers actually will find impossible to put down. A team of British Special Forces commandos parachutes into the high peaks of the Austrian Alps with the mission of stealing into an invulnerable alpine castle—accessible only by aerial gondola—the headquarters of N**i intelligence. Supposedly sent in to rescue one of their own, their real mission turns out to be a lot more complicated—and the tension climbs as team members start to die off, one by one. Written by Alistair Maclean, author of the Guns of Navarone, this is the novel that set the pace for the modern action thriller (the film version, with Richard Burton and Clint Eastwood, also helped), and it still packs twice the punch of most contemporary best-selling thrillers. What's more, the cast of spooks, turncoats, and commandos who drive this story are more relevant than ever in our new era of special forces, black ops, and unpredictable alliances.
