It takes about 700 gallons of water to produce one cotton shirt. That’s enough water for one person to drink at least eight cups per day for three-and-a-half years.

It takes about 2,000 gallons of water to produce a pair of jeans. That’s more than enough for one person to drink eight cups per day for 10 years.

Can’t we figure out the fabrics and raw materials used in the garment production?

What did we get by following fast fashion trends till date?

An aspect of the slow fashion model is avoiding trends. Avoiding these “trends” and going for more timeless styles is fundamental to choosing well.

The clothing might seem a little more pricey at first, but approach these garments like investments.

The fabrics used require less intensive resources and are of an extremely high quality; they are made to last.

Supporting a local designer often means you are also investing in artisan skills, and a conscious approach to fashion.
