Yesterday, we hosted Netafim for a dedicated agronomic lighting workshop. The session was a hybrid event, with participants joining us physically in our and virtually via broadcast, allowing Netafim team members from across the globe to tune in.

We dove into the fundamentals of agronomic lighting, discussed how to effectively characterize lighting projects, and explored light from the plant's perspective. Beyond the technical learning, it was a fantastic opportunity to exchange experiences and gain insights from their diverse global operations.

It was great catching up with the team - we’re already looking forward to the next one!

The medical cannabis industry is alive, kicking, and growing!

This was clearly demonstrated last week at IInternational Cannabis Business ConferenceBerlin, which was exceptionally vibrant. The energy was electric, the key players were out in force, and the ecosystem's strength was on full display.

A huge thank you to Fluence for driving this ecosystem, fostering connections, and bringing such good vibes. They are a special team that has built a super high quality network and deep-rooted relationships we are incredibly proud to be a part of it.

Events like this remind us that some things simply cannot happen over video calls, phones, or emails. The real magic happens in person.
If you missed it this time, make sure to correct that for next year. If you are in the international medical cannabis industry, this conference is a must.

Backup generators aren't optional. We learned that the hard way >>

Usually, our indoor is not affected by weather whatsoever. But when strong winds knocked a tree onto our village's main power line, we didn't have any power for 11 hours - or a backup generator.

In controlled environment growing, when the power goes out, everything goes out. Lights, climate control, airflow - the whole system. And your crop pays the price.

On the bright side, we got to taste some of these in a fresh salad a few days ahead of schedule... But that doesn't change the fact that we should have been prepared.

Lesson learned. Generator ordered. ⚡⚡⚡

Yesterday we hosted a workshop on horticultural lighting.

Growers, agronomists, cannabis professionals, and ag folks got together at our place. The result? Top-shelf discussions, solid questions, real conversations - the kind of exchange that makes these sessions worth it.

Fun fact: Yellow and green wavelengths heat up your leaves

Most growers know chlorophyll has a soft spot for red & blue (450 and 650 nm).

But here's what's interesting: yellow and green light (500-550 nm) converts less energy to photosynthesis - and the rest becomes heat.

It ain't a bug, it's a feature (you can use)👇

When you're dialing in VPD and need to raise leaf surface temperature without touching your HVAC, adding yellow-green spectrum does the work. Same goes for far-red (720-750 nm) - it heats the leaf too.

Managing LST isn't just about airflow anymore. Your spectrum is part of the equation 🌱
