Had a very fruitful day at store, finally have the option for resewing tops so I got some flame mahogany, flame mango, mint burl and a huge amboyna burl raw piece!
Along with some pink ivory for neck pieces.
Finally going to try some of glues I wanted to try for a long time.

So here it is. Finally.

The first Hackistalker C6 Peritus.

This guitar actually started as the prototype for the Hackistalker model, but after an order for another Hackistalker came in, this one got pushed back a little and became the second Hackistalker ever completed.

Still, this is the first C6 Peritus, and it turned into something pretty special.

Hackistalker C6 Peritus

Woods
• Body: Swamp ash
• Top: Quilted maple with black veneer
• Neck: 6-piece walnut, maple and Purple Heart, with a combination of 7 veneers
• Fretboard: Ziricote with flamed mango binding
• Scale: 25” short scale
• Frets: 23 (!) StewMac gold frets
• Side dots: Blue Luminlay
• Headstock back cap: Ziricote
• Pickup rings and covers: Quilted maple and Ziricote

Hardware
• Bridge: Hipshot gold and black hybrid hardtail
• K***s: Hipshot O-ring
• Tuners: Graph Tech Ratio, black and gold hybrid
• Nut: Graph Tech Black TUSQ
• Jack plate and string ferrules: Gotoh

Electronics
• Pickups: TV Jones Starwood Strat set
• Switch: Seymour Duncan HyperSwitch
• Pots: Burns high-torque 250k pots
• Tone cap: NOS 22nF
• Jack: Puretone gold plated

Finish
• Crimson Guitars stains
• Borma Wachs 2K Parquet Oil

A short-scale offset with boutique woods, modern electronics, and enough detail to make this one feel like a prototype that refused to stay simple.

My first attempt at making single covers, Ziricote wood with quilted maple rings, this is the final piece for the guitar, it’s just applying the finish, assembly and it’s done.
