"'Everybody needs books, Molly figured. No matter where they live, how they love, what they believe, whom they want to kill. We all want books. The moment you start thinking of books as some exclusive club, or the loving of books as a high distinction, then you're a bad bookseller."
- Charlie Jane Anders, 'A People's Future of the United States: Speculative Fiction from 25 Extraordinary Writers'

Great photos captured today by Liam Ryan.

We're set up in the law offices on Main Street, and there are over thirty book dealers spread out across the town, including our fellow Wexfordians, Nerd-Up and O' Brien Books. Our friends at Peace and Tranquility Holistic Gifts and Therapy Centre are set up right across the street from us too.

We had a packed house, literally out the door, for the launch of Conor Healy's debut poetry collection, 'Dreamt of the Bering Strait', in Red Books Underground tonight.

When you listen to this young mans rapid prose full of such vivid imagery, you can't help but feel you are in the presence of something special, maybe how people felt when hearing James Baldwin, Allen Ginsberg or Gregory Corso for the first time. We are truly blessed with young, energetic, inspiring talent in Wexford right now, and it needs to be supported.

Copies of 'Dreamt of the Bering Strait' are available now for €12 each at Red Books, Red Books Underground or online at www.theirishbookshop.com

BOOK LAUNCH: "Dreamt of the Bering Strait" by Conor Healy

Takes place at 7pm tomorrow (Thursday night) in Red Books Underground.

At the start of the Summer, we saw the launch of seventeen-year-old Aoife Byrne's debut collection "Muse and Musings". Now another seventeen year old poet, Conor Healy, will launch his own debut "Dreamt of the Bering Strait".

Proof once more that the youth of Wexford are dynamic, creative and inspiring, and are surely our greatest asset.

Come along on Thursday night and support this young poet.
