Puppet Ireland is an online shop selling puppets to customers on the island of Ireland. It all started in 2004 with our main website, www.mimitoys.ie.

I was never a mum who bought loads of toys from toy stores in Ireland. I always believed that less is more when it comes to buying toys. Children have such an ability to play and learn through play that I really wanted to get toys that would be engaging for them and that would encourage them to use their natural talents, skills, abilities and their senses. The reason why I have decided to launch a

2nd ecommerce website solely dedicated to selling puppets is to give us a chance to explore and browse a huge range of puppets without being too distracted by other things! I think it is fair to say that puppets fall in the category of traditional toys as they are probably one of the best toys to bring children’s natural ability to play and use their imagination, creativity and freedom. Watching children (and adults) play with puppets is fun and entertaining but there is so much more to it!

🎭✨ Let's talk about Finger Puppets! your online selection has over 100 finger puppets of all sorts of creatures from the real world or fantasy world. 🌟
I wanted to show you the ones that I find the weirdest in a cool way! 😂 from a camel to an octopus, from a lobster to a pink mouse with wings...🐫🐙

📖 My customers often get these finger puppets to accompany a storybook that includes one of these characters or to use in activity groups for children, such as dancing or singing groups. 🎶👶

They also make a lovely and unique little present! 🎁

Finger Puppets make a great addition to a storybook. 📚🤗

As you flick through the book or read the book, you can use the finger puppet or let the little reader mime the action with the puppet character.
It makes reading fun, interactive and allows children explore their imagination and sense of humour! 🌟😂

Meet some of our favourite nursery rhymes characters...🤗👋

🧡 Finger puppets like these go well with a book and can make reading a fun and interactive experience 😄

They are super cute too and are available as a set, with or without a book or individually. They make great presents and what I like about these finger puppets is that they hold on really well to a child or adult finger.

🌞☀️ Good morning all puppets enthusiasts! 🌞☀️

Meet our trio of happy hand puppets who couldn't wait to say hello! 🤗👋

🧡 The Red Puppet on the left is the Baby Monster from The Puppet Company ☀️ On the picture, it looks like it is in a bit of a pickle but it is really great fun with a squeaker in his mouth! 😄

💙 You may recognise Lischa from Living Puppets in the middle, she was in the Late Late Toy Show last year and Ryan Turbidy gave us a great demonstration! She made her grand entrance with other lovely puppets. 🌈 🌈

💚 The Zebra is a long sleeved mouth moving puppet, always happy to be here even though he does not always know what's going on...🌍

I am trying to work out the best puppets to bring at the Childcare Conference organized by Latton Social Services and Fingers and Toes Community Childcare in Doohamlet Community Centre tomorrow Saturday 16th of September 2023. ☘️
I'd love to bring them all but I can't! 😭

The conference has amazing speakers that will deal with childcare issues, from birth to 16 years. If you're a parent, childcare worker, teacher, expectant parent or social worker. Drop over but seats have to be booked! Contact 0429742682, line number 2, and pay by phone. 👏

The sockette Hand Puppets are long Hand Puppets with a funky look. What they have is loads of personality with their big eyes, colourful faces and squeaky" tongue (depending on how you use them you can activate the squeaker or not!). These mouth moving puppets and really good to engage young children to either tell a story or take part in a story. It's really up to the imagination and that's what I like about them!

Some puppets are bigger than others! Can you imagine the stories these guys have to tell? The large and medium Chimp and Orangutan Hand Puppets are easy to use, probably from the age of 4/5 years, but adults also like to have a go! It's fun, educational and interactive play. 🎉 🤣 🙉🙈

I just love puppets! When children are playing with puppets they use their imagination, creativity, senses, talents and skills! I like their simplicity and the fact that they are not lead by fashion or trends. Our range of puppets vary from a unicorn finger puppet to a hairy and not so scary monster hand puppet..☀️🌻
