When I first started thinking about setting up Stitched Pretty, I had a little dream of making a business from my lifelong love of cross stitch embroidery. I first learned cross stitch when I was 12 years old and I’ve been absolutely hooked since. The thought of all those framed keepsakes on walls in nurseries, living rooms and kitchen fills my heart with joy.

The love birds cross stitch design that I created was inspired by a gift that I received for my own wedding. I wanted to draw on that inspiration and create something beautiful that would capture the same sentiment and love that I felt on my own special day. I put a lot of care and attention into this design to ensure that it would be a meaningful and treasured keepsake for anyone who receives it.

As I began the process of designing this piece, I knew that I wanted to incorporate certain elements that were important to me. The delicate pink and grey hues that I used worked together perfectly to create a soft, romantic feel. And when paired with the groom's black attire, these colors really pop and make the design stand out.
