Between preparations for my kids First Holy Communion, creating flowers for homes, the church, a special corsage and hair flowers, and keeping up with a wonderful run of gift bouquet orders, the farm has been wonderfully busy lately.

In the middle of it all, there’s also Bord Bia Bloom prep underway, candles being poured, seedlings needing protection from the slugs, and the tunnels slowly changing over from spring into the next season of flowers.

I haven’t managed to photograph even half of what has gone out of the field this week, but I’m so grateful for every bouquet ordered, every message sent, and every bit of support for my flower farm.

Now… back to planting, weeding, and getting ready for another busy time at Bord Bia Bloom ahead 💐

That moment when the whole room turns...and he only sees her.

The light, the energy, and the kind of moment you can almost feel through these photographs.

And that second moment...when it's all over and it's just the two of them - J looking at A like that. That's the moment that stays with you.

A's bouquet was a blend of white, cream, pale buttery yellow and soft pale shades of lavender. It was natural, romantic, and just a little bit undone - exactly how Spring should feel.

The flowers at this mid March wedding at Ballymagarvey Village were built around the season of Spring. More than 70% of the flowers used were Irish grown, most grown here on my farm just 5 minutes from this gorgeous venue. 30% were carefully chosen imports to lift the palette and bring it all together.

The result was something that felt fresh, seasonal and completely personal to their special day.

If you're recently engaged and thinking about your flowers, spring has so much to offer when you embrace it.

These flowers ended up in some very special places this week.

Some were picked up at on Sunday, some were gifted for birthdays,
and some were just because someone needed a little lift.

That’s my favourite part of growing these flowers... they start here in buckets, but they end up in someone’s home, on a table, or in someone’s hands for a reason.

If you’re local and have someone in mind (or even just want a bunch for yourself), send me a message 🤍

Follow along to see what’s coming out of the buckets next week.

Fresh Irish-grown flowers available this week.

That’s me ⏫. I'm usually found somewhere between the flower beds and a slightly questionable chair position in the polytunnel 😄

I’m Sarah, a grower of cut flowers in Kentstown, Co. Meath. Everything here is grown by me, with the seasons in a small field, alongside life with my two little kids.

The tunnel is in full swing right now and I have fresh flowers available for bouquets and florist wholesale orders.

I also hand make essential oil candles, which I’ll be sharing more about soon 🕯️

While I've been quiet here, the flowers haven't.
The past few weeks have been filled with early spring weddings, soft colours, and the most beautiful seasonal blooms — ranunculus, anemones, narcissus and delicate butterfly ranunculus.
There's something about this time of year that feels gentle and hopeful.
And I'm looking forward to sharing more of these beauties as the season unfurls x
