WESTMEATH / BOYS IN BLUE & GIRLS. Just few pics from today and we'll done Westmeath, I just dropped over for short time with Holly Grandaught number 3,as her sisters were gone to watch match and Holly would not stick out the full game. A huge thanks to the GARDA lads for letting her sit on motorbike 🏍 made her day. Great bit after match food Sylvia.

OWEL TODAY & NO REST FOR THE WICKET. It was certinally not plain sailing on Owel for Robbie & Cody McKeown,but we got few fish and few hits. The Brothers are angling mad and fished their hearts out the last 2 days. Robbie is caught up now the next few months doing his 3 Star course in the Defence Forces, it's a big tradition in the McKeown family.The Army life,best luck Robbie. Young 16 years old Cody who is built like a "Tank" has a buzy time this summer on the Rugby scene with Mullingar Rugby club,enjoy you Rugby Cody. No rest for the Wicket Mick The Fish,grass cutting Grandaughters down after School tomorrow.

DERRAVARAGH TODAY. It was bit blustery on Derravaragh at times and on the first drift a good double whacked my Paddle Tail lure. The Fish was well marked after spawning & bit of the tail missing. After that all small pike and quite few hits on the main lake and when i took shelter on the Inny. On board The McKeon brother Robbie & Cody,tomorrow we try Owel.

WESTMEATH GONE FOOTBALL MAD. Its full steam ahead for next Saturday Westmeath & Cavan clash. Yesterday Sylvia took Amber and Grace to meet some of the Westmeath players, it's a fantastic buzz for up and coming young players. I even got caught up with it this evening as we went see Grandaughter Amber in action for Shandonagh. Its certinally going to be a full house in Cusack Park Saturday,but the main man Peter Butler looks cool enough well he seen a lot big games. Tomorrow caught up with paper run,Wednesday screaming reels. Now my Monday chill hours.

DERRAVARAGH TODAY. What a stunning day on Derravaragh and on board Kenny Tully & son Liam.Originally Armagh but moved to Lacken near Multyfarnham back in 2007. Lads have decided to take up fishing and caught their first few pike today. Notting big but we had quite a few & lost good fish on deadbait. Another day is penciled in for Owel in the coming weeks & try for trout.Derravaragh gone quite low and hard launching boat at Donore Shore,nice meet the Guing lads Martin and James from my late Father's home town Tullamore.Dropped in to chat my old pal Paul Smith in Donore Restaurant / Caravan Park,great buzz on a fine evening. Lovely evening & time to Chill after super Deep/Fried Teal Breasts. No plans tomorrow for fishing, back at pike Wednesday & Thursday. Thats the plan.

HAPPY DAY'S / LIFE IS GOOD. No fish on Lene for just few hours,but great to be out. Magical see so many Ducks about,zoom in on pic Trolling rod. Took out few Teal this evening lad in Canton Caseys waiting long time to try,might have bit myself wrapped in Rashers. Dogs had nice swim & Girls down for overnight now chill time with Sylvia. Tomorrow back out on the waterways.
