A truly special and emotional night at the recent Expert Electrical Gala Awards as Carlow’s own Sean Swan was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his incredible contribution to the electrical retail industry and the local community over many decades.
From starting out in 1966 to opening his first store in 1976, Sean has built more than just a successful business — he has built lifelong relationships, supported generations of customers, and remains deeply committed to the Carlow community through local sponsorships, Éire Óg Carlow, Carlow Camogie, the Lions Club, and the Chamber of Commerce.
The award came as a complete surprise to Sean, made even more special with his family in attendance to celebrate the occasion alongside him. Normally never short of words, Sean was left speechless as he received a standing ovation from colleagues, friends, and fellow Expert Electrical members from across the country.
A well-deserved recognition for a gentleman whose dedication, loyalty, and community spirit have made a lasting impact both in business and beyond.
