I love the natural scent from candles. If you haven't tried them yet I can highly recommend them.

This clip also includes my Christmas to you all so I hope you watch until the end.

Have a Peaceful Christmas filled with Blessings and take some time to contemplate that first and very special gift and the full meaning of Christmas.

One morning, while I was out walking this big heart on four legs, he suddenly stopped at the foot of a bush. Normally, he pulls on the leash to run, sniff, explore. But this time, he froze. His gaze locked in place, ears standing tall. And then, very slowly, he moved closer.

Three tiny bundles were trembling beneath the leaves. Thin. Dirty. Abandoned.

They were only a few weeks old—two gingers and a tabby—huddled together, clinging to each other to survive the night. There was no mother. Nothing. Just them. Fragile. Alone. Silent.

I wanted to pick them up, to place them gently in a box. But my dog—this big, often clumsy giant—lay down on the ground instead, resting his muzzle beside them. He didn’t growl. He didn’t fidget. He simply lay there, as if he understood that they needed warmth, calm, protection.

That day, I didn’t make a decision.

He made it for me.

Since then, they never leave his side. They sleep curled against him, hide between his legs, climb onto his back like a soft, living mountain. He doesn’t mind. He watches over them. He lets them nibble his ears, play with his tail, fall asleep on his chest.

Sometimes I watch him—the old one, the survivor of a hard past. This dog I took in when no one else wanted him, when people said he was “too big,” “too old,” “too difficult.” And now, I see him transformed—into a guardian, a guide, a gentle giant of a father to a tiny litter he saved himself.

They’re not his puppies. They’re not even the same species. And yet, he loves them as if they were his own. As if, in those three little lost beings, he recognized a piece of himself.

Today, they are a family.

A strange, living puzzle—unlikely, but perfect. A reminder that love has no shape, no breed, no logic. It just needs a heart big enough to hold it.

✨ This Christmas, let’s make our money matter ✨

Instead of adding more to Amazon’s profits, imagine if every gift you bought this year supported someone’s dream a maker, an artist, a café owner, a small shop trying their best to keep the lights on.

🎁 Buy the book from your local bookshop.
💌 Pick up a voucher from the salon down the road.
🕯 Choose handmade gifts from the people who pour their hearts into every detail.

Because when you shop small, your purchase means so much more it’s a little vote for community, creativity, and keeping our high streets alive.

Let’s help make sure these amazing local businesses are still here next year.

Remember these?

I was delighted to find these super vintage items from on a recent .ire stock drop.

They have been gifted and the recipients loved them.

I remember the Tupperware sunburst range in this colourway from many years ago. Years later I had some in orange. Made to last. The airtight seal on these are still perfect.

The weight, liquid and temperature converter is brilliant. Easy to convert recipes with the simple turn of a dial. This works perfectly.

Have you heard?

I've been part of a great group here on Instagram for a couple of years now. It's called Cad é an Scéal Book Hug Cad é an scéal is What's the story in English.

Yesterday some of is were able to meet in person for the first time to exchange our book hugs. It was great to meet up because usually we post the hugs and only knew each other online. We had great craic, everyone was so nice. The sun was shining so we ate outside.

The staff in the were lovely especially our charming waiter (see pic 2). The food is delicious and reasonably priced too.

If you would like to know more about the book hug group let me know in the comments or send a DM. Alternatively contact Debbie who set up the hug group by DM
