At Maysonbrook we have a passion for creating and sharing. ‘Time’ and how we spend it with the people and the objects we hold precious is central to our work. We help celebrate our time together through our products. Participation in the process is at the heart of what we
do. Our products are not to be hung on a wall and forgotten about, they are memory makers, and they are to be added to and passed on. They embrace the moment and frame it through classic timeless design. STUDIO PROFILE
Maysonbrook is a design & make studio led by Bernadine. Using a wide range of materials as a sculptor, coupled with an in-house team of animation and film makers has meant that at the studio we are open to using any material which will convey our message. Having recently re-named our studio from Friends & Family Trees to MAYSONBROOK we hope to expand our brand range with more beautiful, concept-led design and giftware. DESIGNERS PROFILE
Bernadine Egan Burke
Bernadine is an artist, designer and educator. She holds a first class honours degree in Fine Art, (Conceptual Sculpture) Art History & Critical Theory from the GMIT, Galway, Ireland (2004), where her work received the graduate of the year award. She has a higher diploma in Art & Design education from Limerick School of Art & Design, Limerick. In 2006 Bernadine established her private school of art ‘Art in Galway’ working with students as diverse in age as 4 to 89years. Her experience as an art educator has encouraged her to develop a participatory element to her design work. Her design work is stocked in over 30 well respected Craft & Design outlets both in Ireland and internationally, including the National Gallery of Ireland, Bookshop, and the Lewis Glecksman Gallery, UCC.
