Not my usual post but a post nonetheless.

This Thursday we celebrated 10 years married, 10 years that have absolutely flown by and as he likes to say "you'd get less for murder" 🤣

Next month we celebrate 17 years together. A far cry from the 17 &18 year old that met all those years ago. But still, just as much fun... Or nearly... Maybe...

So grateful to have found my person to have all this fun with ❤️

When the Xmas mania hits mid work flow. So many ideas... So little time. It's not like I had a full year to implement them though, is it? 😂

A little late sharing this, as I thought it has already shared (I'm the maker, the creator... Not the I.T guy).
Looking forward to seeing you all over the Xmas!

To say I am honoured to have won this award is an understatement, to say I'm buzzing is an understatement too. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and followed me on this venture that led me to winning the "Young Entrepreneur" category at the

Having the best of people around you makes these things much easier, so I am truly lucky.
The kids couldn't be there tonight (well, they could have but we needed a night off 🤣 and .ryder.photography is on uncle duties), but they're as much part of this award as I am as they're both truly involved in all aspects as is my long suffering other half. Against their will or voluntarily, we'll never know!

Just goes to show one little idea at a desk in a bedroom can grow legs and become something special 🥰

Another commission made this past week, this time for a very special reason.

I was approached by a woman who had seen my work, her mother had recently passed away at the amazing age of 100, and she felt my jewlery pieces would reflect the lifetime of love and memories they had with her.
I was provided with flowers from her mother's garden, which I pressed, and a pearl from her necklace to include in the jewelry.
From this I created a brooch, incorporating all the items provided. And for the earrings I used petals from the flowers. All including gold leaf and glass glitter to catch the light and add a bit of magic.
I'm so happy with how they turned out and hope they captured such a stunning lady perfectly.

As always I'm blown away when someone chooses me to commission pieces, and I'm always so grateful. I always love doing something different and had fun being creative while also commemorating a loved one.

I was commissioned recently to make this piece for a woman, they had recently lost her brother, and they travelled to where he lived and picked a shell from there.
She wanted to commemorate him, and use the shell rather than leave it lying in a drawer where it could get lost or broken.
After much discussion, we finally had a plan. The large shell in the middle represents her brother, the four on the left - the siblings, the two on the right - the parents. The sand, from an Irish beach, Ireland was his home.
A beautiful way to create an everlasting memory and a heartfelt gift for her Mum.
Being part of creating and making pieces like these is so special. I am always blown away and grateful that someone entrusts me with a special part of them or their loved one, to create a piece close to their heart.

Recently I was commissioned to create three pieces for a school, for two of their teachers retiring. To make it extra special, everything contained within the pieces was from the school grounds.

In the earrings, two stones from the school grounds.
The bracelet was small and intricate, so it was harder to fit items in, but we managed it. It contained a clover, a stone, a tiny flower, and some pencil shavings.
For the brooch, a stone, a clover, a leaf, two small delicate flowers, a pencil shaving also.
It was important to capture the art of teaching aswell as items to be remembered from their time in the school.

This was something so different to what I was used to and I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. It's always nice to switch things up, and I think the vision I was given was absolutely perfect.

Such a thoughtful gift on retirement, after many years of beloved teaching. And it was clear from this alone, they will be missed by staff and pupils alike.

I love doing commissions and bringing people's ideas to life, so if you're interested in creating a piece - hit me up!
