❗️CLOSING DOWN SALE❗️

27th & 28th - Everything must go.

We’ll be clearing out the shop and have everything for sale, our cups, furniture & chair, display units, plants… if you can pick it up you can buy it.

We’ll be open 12pm - 4pm both days, serving takeaway coffee so make sure to swing bye and have one last goodbye to us 🤗🫶

We’ll also have Annmarie in-store with their winter sale with up to 70% off, your last chance to shop in person with Annmarie until she finds a new home in the new year 💖

Our sixth & final Christmas 🎄

And that’s a wrap, our last Christmas at DUO🥲

Thanks to everyone for your support & anyone who called in since announcing that the shop was be closing. It’s been a difficult few month but know it’s the right decision 🫶

Our last few days in the shop 🥲

We are coming close to our last day open, make sure to call into us before we our last day, this Sunday the 24th 🕒

It’s been a whirlwind 2 years on Sarsfield Street (nearly 3 years having the lease) but sadly it’s coming to an end. We’ve shared so many memories in-store since opening & it’s because of the people who’s made everything worthwhile & building such an amazing community 🫶

A look back on just some of the memories here on Sarsfield Street, from building works to staff nights out, fashion shows to first step’s we’ve made a lot of memories here and I will truly miss this space here I’ve been lucky enough to create 💖

Our last official open date is this Sunday the 24th… but we will have 2 more days open the 27th & 28th but these will be for clearing out anything left & everything will be going, furniture, cups etc. if you can pick it up you can buy it. I’ll have a separate post with more details on that to come 😉

There’s so many more people to include in photos but that’s definitely been one of my downfalls in all of the busyness the last few years it would seem, not capturing every moment of the journey. If you have any photos or memories of DUO here or on Denmark street over the last 5 years it would mean to world to me to hear/see them 🫶💖✨

We will be open tomorrow til 7pm, with complimentary mulled wine & Christmas tunes with 10% off in-store 5pm - 7pm 🎄🎶

Our take on Black Friday…

You might see some small businesses talk about “Green Friday” but what does it mean? 🤷🏻‍♂️

Turning Black Friday Green, is choosing to shop more sustainably even during sale season. But what’s sustainable about a sale you ask?

Before you buy, ask yourself some important questions:

Would I be buying this even if it wasn’t on sale? If the answer is no, you probably don’t need it. 🙅🏻‍♀️

Where is my money going when I purchase this product? Am I supporting a multinational conglomerate or a small independent business. Where you choose to spend your money is a vote with your money. 💰

Will this product last me years & years or will I end up throwing this at after a few used/wears? If the answer is no, chances are it will cost you more in the long run ♻️

We all love a sale, but choosing to slow down before you buy can make such a difference. And where you choose to spend your money can make even more of a difference. For every €1 spent with a local business, €2.50 goes back into the local economy 💸

Winter opening hours ❄️

As the busy shopping season begins we will be gradually extending our opening hours⏰

We are starting off with reintroducting Sundays, we will now be open Sundays 12pm - 4pm starting this Sunday the 19th 🤗

In the weeks coming we will have more opening hours updates with late night shopping and Mondays the closer we get to Christmas 🎄

After just celebrating our 5th year in business I am afraid I have some sad news to share with you all. I have made the incredibly difficult decision to close our home here on Sarsfield Street at the end of the year (final open date TBC)

It has been an amazing 5 years since opening and having our last 2 years here on Sarsfield Street, but unfortunately due to a number of factors we will be taking a break from having a physical brick-and-mortar store and closing our doors.

To our community & supporters over the last five years, thank you for always being the most incredibly kind & supportive people I have met, I am so grateful to have met so many of you along the way. I have made so many friends for life through the shop and I hope you too have created many memories with us in-store over the years.

Our website will continue to operate and spread our mission of sustainability & wellbeing. I hope to continue to grow our business online and introduce you to so many other amazing brands & products and hope you stick around for our next chapter.

Until then we will be here on Sarsfield Street Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 5pm and hope to see you before we go in the next few weeks.

I also hope that this can act as a reminder to support small independent businesses near you. Unfortunately we aren’t the first small business to close and we won’t be the last. I know everyone is struggling at the moment but if you can, choose an independent business to support where you can.
