We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable and friendly people to join our lovely team at Roots!
🛍️ FULL-TIME CAFÉ & SHOP ASSISTANT / BARISTA
We’re looking for an experienced, confident and customer-focused person to join our team in a full-time café and shop role.
☀️ DAYTIME HOURS – NO NIGHT WORK!
📅 Mostly Monday to Friday
🌿 Occasional weekend work when required
The role includes:
Working across our café and shop
Barista duties – preparing and serving coffees and drinks
Taking customer orders
Cash handling
Table service
Providing excellent customer service
Keeping the café and shop clean, welcoming and well presented
Previous café, barista and/or shop experience is essential.
🍳 PERMANENT PART-TIME KITCHEN ASSISTANT
We’re also looking for a kitchen assistant to join our busy and friendly kitchen team.
The role includes:
Food preparation
Cooking and kitchen duties
Working as part of a busy team
Flexible availability for weekdays and occasional weekends
Previous kitchen experience is an advantage.

✔️ Available all year round – not seasonal positions
✔️ Experienced in their relevant role
✔️ Friendly, reliable and hardworking
✔️ Excellent spoken and written English
✔️ Confident communicating with customers and colleagues
✔️ Great with customers and able to provide excellent service
✔️ Comfortable working in a busy café, shop or kitchen environment
✔️ A positive team player with a can-do attitude
✔️ HACCP trained for the kitchen role (don’t worry if not – training can be provided)
