Today we hosted the Irish Christmas Tree Growers Autumn field day and annual Christmas Tree Competition.

As per tradition, the winner of the Grower Of The Year award supplies the Christmas tree to the president of Ireland.

We were delighted to welcome a big crowd to Mountain View Farm in the beautiful Co. Wicklow.

A lot of knowledge was shared during the farm tour and a good meal had by all. Lots of ideas and topics discussed and new tips learned.

We were delighted to win some prizes for our trees…

We won:

1st in the Noble Fir category with the best Noble Fir tree for the 3rd year running

2nd in the Nordmann Fir category

2nd in the Alternative Variety category

A massive well done to Michael O Gorman from Celtic Christmas Trees for 1st in the Nordmann Fir category and winner of the Grower Of The Year award 2025. A very well deserved win and hands down the best tree on the day.

A huge thank you to Joe Flynn and all the ICTG organising committee. Also a big thank you to my partner Beryl and my mam Mary for the tea, coffee and superb food. And a huge thanks to James, Adrian and all my staff for help in organising and setting up the day.

I hope you all enjoyed your day and I wish you all a successful season
