The Bookery

The Bookery The Bookery is a second-hand bookshop set up in January 2010 as a community based initiative in Kilrush, County Clare.

All of the books sold have been kindly donated by members of the public.

Come in and say hello ๐Ÿ‘‹๐Ÿป, browse some books ๐Ÿ“š or to see some locally crafted pieces ๐Ÿชต including the new The Bookery Christmas Tree on display from the shop window๐ŸŒฒ Thanks to all in Woodwebs for their craftsmanship and expertise in building and designing the tree frame from wood, tailor made for the bookshop this year.. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

โžก๏ธ We have also recently added some new handmade jewellery to the shop for sale and The Bookery bookmarks are now available for purchase at โ‚ฌ1.50 each.

โญ๏ธA huge thank you to all those who come in to make continue to make donations, buy books and of course, volunteer. We are very grateful and this social enterprise keeps going because of your generosity.

Please note we are closed from Friday the 19th of December for a well deserved Christmas break & will re-open on January the 5th to kick off the new year. ๐Ÿฅณ ๐ŸŽ‰ ๐ŸŽŠ

On this day last year, Sally O'Keeffe and crew had arrived in Brest, had a much needed wash ๐Ÿ‘ƒ and a good night's sleep (thanks again for that and all of your kindness when we arrived to the Galway Ho**er Sailing Club ).

Here is รˆalรน,our new St Ayles Skiff,built by volunteers with the guidance of Steve Morris and James Madigan under the umbrella of Seol Sionna with funding from the LCETB.
One or two details to complete before launch day,more about a date for this event soon,then it's time to go rowing and this project will enter a new phase.Everyone with an interest is invited to try rowing with Seol Sionna,it could be a quiet circuit of the marina some calm evening or a row to Kerry with Sally o Keeffe as support boat,we have lots of plans and want to hear your ideas.
