I love discovering hidden gems in Ireland's countryside, and when I sourced McKernan Woollen Mills in the peaceful village of Tuamgraney, Co. Clare to stock at AnchorCrafts, I wasn't disappointed! This family-run gem (since 1985 by Eugene & Anke McKernan) weaves stunning scarves & shawls on vintage Hattersley looms using premium merino wool, silk, and natural yarns.

I'm asked to do commissions all the time and I enjoy doing them. This request was so different from my normal ones, but I sure did enjoy the challenge. I worked on it most evenings in November till I was happy with the completed piece. Give the lady what she wants!
