There’s something about blue in a kitchen — it can feel bold on paper, but in the right tone, it settles into the space in a really quiet, grounding way.
For this project, we chose a custom blue using a Rubio Monocoat precolour and finishing oil system, rather than paint. It felt important that the timber could still come through… the grain catching the light, adding that subtle texture you just don’t get with a flat finish.
It’s also a more hardworking choice — one that will wear in, not out. The kind of finish that softens over time and adds depth, rather than losing it.
A calm, considered space, designed to last.
With thanks to our clients for trusting us with their home.
