Another crazy whirlwind of a week!! Thank you everyone who has supported our appeal so far! We are just over €9,000 now! We still have a long way to go to secure the future of Wreckless Skate Shop and Indoor Skatepark.. URGENT! HELP SAVE WRECKLESS SKATEPARK

Covid closure has put Ireland’s only indoor Scooter, Skateboard and BMX park on the verge of closure and it needs your help urgently.

As soon as restrictions were announced Wreckless Indoor Skatepark in Co. Wexford, Ireland like many other businesses, closed its doors, unfortunately the entrance fee to the park is the bulk of its income and now the park fighting for it’s very survival.

Wreckless Indoor Skatepark is a vital training facility for Ireland’s top Skaters, Scooter riders and BMXers. We have exceptional talent in this country and with the inclusion of Skateboarding and BMXing in the next Olympics with Scootering due to be included in the following games, many of our best athletes and Wreckless regulars are well on course to represent their country at the highest level.

These guys and girls are high performance athletes and like all top sports people they need the correct facilities to train. Unfortunately these sports get no funding from the government yet, meaning the Wreckless Skatepark has to fend for itself.

Wreckless Indoor Skatepark is also hugely popular among Scooter iders, Skaters and BMXers who do it just for fun. With one 5 year old girl describing the park as her 'happy place'. Ireland is not known for its year round sunshine meaning that on rainy days all outdoor skate facilities are out of bounds - Wreckless is always open, 7 days a week, almost 364 days a year.

Wreckless has always been there to give the young people of the town, of the country a focus, an interest, keeping them busy and in some cases off the streets and away from trouble. Since Wreckless opened it’s doors many moons ago it has, for many, a place to feel safe, a place to fit in, a place to belong and some may even call it home.

Wreckless Indoor Skatepark needs to raise €50,000 in the next few weeks or unfortunately it will be closing it’s doors for good.

Please don’t let that happen. Donate what you can and please spread the news to your friends and family.
