In between greybeard and Stars my destination I read these two. Big fan of Philip k dick, but didn't think this one was great. Supposed to be one of his best but wasn't into the premace. This was my first iain m banks book, which is hard to believe! I'll be giving the next one a go.

This is the next book in my reading of SF Masterworks and it is a absolute masterpiece. Fantastic early cyber punk - 30 years before cyber punk existed! Great read

Third book in SF Masterclass series done. Intro says it's like a Escher painting, I think that covers it. Very enjoyable read

22 years ago today we opened the doors of needful things! Myself and Sparks, hung over, selling books. well, selling 'book' as we only sold one on the first day! It was a second hand John LeCarrie book to a guy with a mayo bag!
