So I’m up to something something new. I’m starting a Grow Remote chapter for Kinvara and surrounds, and the first meet-up is at Siar Cafe
next Monday 25 May at 6pm.
After 20-odd years working from home on my own, I know what its like to feel a bit isolated workwise. Grow Remote is a national community for people working remotely in Ireland, with chapters all over the country, and Kinvara is finally getting one.
There’ll be tea and a bit of food on and then a proper chat with other people in the area who spend their workday on a screen. Not networking, not a pitch, so it’s a social evening to look at getting something going here.
The plan at the moment is to meet once a month for a community event: so a hike, a dip, a social evening, whatever the group decides but to do that I need to get a sense of numbers to see if it’s viable.
Would love to see some friendly faces. So if you or someone you know is working from home around Kinvara, please come along and feel free to forward this on or throw it in any groups where you think it’d land well.
It’s all free but you’ll need to grab a ticket on Eventbrite so I know numbers for food: https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/remote-hybrid-employee-social-in-kinvara-tickets-1989674615335
Any questions, message me on 087 696 3358 or email: [email protected] and I’ll get back to you or whoever is asking.
Thank you
