Maggie O'Farrell's new novel 'Land' is the number one bestselling book in Ireland this week! Inspired by the mapping of Ireland in the mid 19th century, Land is a historical novel set in the aftermath of the famine in Ireland, and is a story of separation, longing, recovery and survival as a family makes a new home in the aftermath of tragedy.

Maggie O'Farrell is the bestselling author of nine novels, including 'Hamnet' which was adapted into a film this year for which she was nominated for an Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay. Her novels explore themes from incarceration, madness and treachery to love, bereavement and loss, and have been translated into 43 languages.

We are delighted to be hosting an event in Galway next week with Maggie O'Farrell, and to be welcoming the great Ryan Tubridy to interview her. The event is sold out, thank to everyone who has booked to come along. You can order Land now on kennys.ie or pick a copy up in the bookshop.
