Today was a special day.
Together with Dundalk FM & Astory Media, we officially launched the brand new Dundalk FM website. Dundalkfm.ie
Before anything else, I want to thank to a few people who made this journey possible.
First, Alan Byrne from Dundalk FM for trusting me with such an important community project. As well to Marissa Lucchessi , Iryna and everyone who was involved from the radio.
Next, Gerry O’Connor, one of Ireland’s most respected traditional musicians, who introduced me to the team at Dundalk FM.
Next here must be mentioned Tom Muckian from Roe River Books, because without Tom and the shop crew, I would never have met Gerry in the first place.
It’s funny how things connect. 🤩
One project led to another, one conversation led to another, and eventually I found myself sitting down with Dundalk FM discussing how we could improve their online presence.
Those conversations started around March.
Today, three months later, the new website is live.
Built for the community.
Built for listeners.
Built for local organisations, businesses, volunteers, presenters, and everyone who calls County Louth home.
Built for future.
The new website is faster, cleaner, mobile friendly, and much easier to use.
You can:
• Request songs directly through WhatsApp
• Subscribe to the Dundalk FM newsletter
• Check show schedules
• Discover presenters and programmes
• Follow Dundalk FM on social media
• Listen to podcasts and archives through Mixcloud
• Stay connected with local news, events, and community updates
• play music easily directly from the browser on your phone, tablet or desktop.
Everything is now in one place.
A modern website for a radio station that has been serving the community for over two decades.
Thank you to everyone involved.
This is only the beginning.
Your message is always heard at Dundalk FM.
