We are thrilled to announce our "Hike for the Homeless" event that we will be holding on the 21st of May! Our goal is to raise money for the Simon Community. This is a cause that means a lot to us due to the homelessness we see ourselves on a daily basis in our city.

This will be a short hike around Howth Head. Tickets are necessary to attend the event, with all proceeds from the sale of tickets going to the Simon Community. A bucket will be going around on the day for any further donations should you wish.

With the entry ticket to the hike, you will also be entered into a raffle of the day to win some fantastic prizes that have been generously donated by Columbia, with all proceeds from the tickets going to the Simon Community.

We hope for this to be the first of many events like this, so a good turnout will help us gauge interest for further Basecamp Hikes!

We are delighted to announce a photography competition that will run from today until the 13th of November.

The theme of this competition is the outdoors. This means your photo can be related to hiking, climbing, mountaineering, or even a walk in your local forest!

There will be three main winners, with a €250.00 BASECAMP voucher up for grabs for each winner. On top of this, these photos will be displayed on the walls of our store along with other notable winners.

This photo exhibition will be run alongside Fáilte Ireland and their 'Winter in Dublin' programme.
