Was reminded that October is Woman’s Small Business Month ✨🫶🏼

It’s exactly 1 year that I started this business. My family has supported and helped the whole way. Without my loved ones I’d never have the drive to continue on this venture. So much has happened in over one year and we want to start making a point to share on Fb more. We vendor in multiple locations throughout SD county and have met so many other amazing and talented Small Business Owners. Not to mention the growing number of woman business owners. I have a deep gratitude for the tips and encouragement these woman give me. As a mom, wife and founder of Simply Be, I need all the inspiration I can get. I look forward to sharing more of our growth and creations!

Love,

Bevy

If someone displayed your life out on a comic strip would you be entertained? Well, I can tell you motherhood has definitely turned my life topsy turvy. In the past 7 years, I have never laughed, cried, danced, played, worried, sang, yelled, stressed, and most importantly loved so deeply in all the years' pre-children. I’ll cut “ another sappy mom post” short... Simply put there my everything. My gems and they will continually fill my heart up and give excitement to my life. I didn’t know I could have an even livelier life until I became a mother. I’m so Incredibly blessed for that.

☘️ Beannachtaí na Féile Padraig Ort !☘️ - I’m 1/4 Irish. Admittedly I never knew much about my Irish heritage. Sure, I grew up seeing the pride from my East Coast relatives and the reminder to wear green on St. Patrick’s day... but what did I exactly know about Ireland and the Irish? I had to face the facts. I knew little to none. So when visiting Dublin last year I kept an open mind and eager curiosity. First off the city is CLEAN and when I mean clean I mean it was enough to make my jaw drop. There was no trash in site! Ruin Castles or Manors seemed everywhere to me in the city or the outskirts. There 7/11 puts California’s to shame. (The sandwiches seemed so fancy for a convenience store!) The best 🍩 I ever had in my life was in Dublin 🤤. I still dream about returning to The Rolling Donut. Small towns outside of Dublin really do look quaint and bright. Toilet tanks confused me a bit at times 🤷🏻‍♀️ Old churches held so much history and the beauty in just a simple window pane. Had me memorized! The countryside is exactly what you picture Ireland to be - Green and lush! The people are indeed warm and friendly. Surprisingly also very young! The average age is 36. Yup, for a country old in history. Its occupants seem to be young in age. I also learned that due to the potato famine that went from the mid-1840s to the 1850s many migrated to many different parts of the world! Not solely to the USA. Argentina actually attracted the most immigrants outside an English speaking country. Cuba was also another popular destination. Irish traditions and customs have evolved so much because of that even to this day in time. A lot of the museums in Dublin are eager to find and connect the links of where Irish genetics have traveled too. I grasped the sense that they were dedicated to preserving Irish history as well as welcome the customs that have evolved. Having ancestors that were Vikings to Colonists and overall survivors... I can understand why much welcome Irish pride. As much as I do still know little, I did gain a sense of new respect to that part of me - Bail ó Dhia ort 🙏🏼 @ Dublin, Ireland

It’s been over 2 weeks since I dyed my hair jet black and I’m obsessed 🖤 Doing what I can in keeping it shiny and dark. I recently partnered up with for there U.S.A. Launch and I’m looooving that this dry shampoo doesn’t leave a white film in my hair and absorbs excess oil fast! Not to mention Colab Dry Shampoo smells soooo good. My favorite is there unicorn fragrance 🦄 They’re fragrances range from a soft subtle bergamot, delicate rose scents to a bold fruity and tropical fragrance. Best part is COLAB will be available at Target, Walmart and Rite Aid!

Starting our way back to complete the loop by the 4th mile, my hip started hurting. "Great," I thought to myself in annoyance. Seeping in came all the regrets of doing this on my own. I should have brought someone with me to help. I had 3 more miles to complete and it was getting harder to walk toting a 30lb toddler strapped to me and pushing a 6-year-old in a stroller who lost energy to walk. A couple of mountain bikers zipped passed me waving hello. Some joggers smiled as Aiva yelled, "Happy New Year!!!!" at the top of her lungs. " Isn't this so much fun mom! " I wasn't listening to her this point. I finally stopped to take a break. My hip was radiating pain and I was reminding myself that I'm not like the other cool moms who can run triathlons, scale mountains, rescue people from burning buildings or whatever the hell else other super fit people powers they have...I was just Bev. "Mom?" her voice had lowered. I needed to get out of my thoughts. She sensed my hesitation was too much and climbed out of the stroller. Suddenly she said her legs were stronger now so the baby should sleep in the stroller. I felt weak that my own daughter was trying to help me. Defeated really...There was no time to get emotional though. I had 3 miles left and the rain was coming. So I put on some music from my phone and we ran, walk and danced for the rest of the way. We made it! My daughter was laughing and blissfully talking nonstop. She told me she couldn't wait to be as strong as me when she grew up. I smiled and simply said, "I'm strong because I'm your mommy".

So... I dropped the ball on sending out Christmas cards again this year. Yikes, 😳😬 Buuuut! We've been having some come through the mail with such sweet sentiments in them that I've decided next year I will for sure hustle and deliver out my cards as a pro like Martha Stewart! Framed a couple so when I walk out the door I'm can glance and re-read them.
