Back working on the turbo hillclimb starlet. this car was lowered a lot for Hillclimb's, it was originally set up for rallycross. the car had bad bump steer and wasnt really working well being lowered that much. I measured the suspension movements, corner weights and HZ to make a plan on were to improve the car and start to move the car development in that direction. sure you could spend some money on it and fix most of the problems with the car but then would leave no money to drive the car, and that the most important bit.

This Hillclimb 2.2 Vauxhall redtop turbo starlet with 350bhp was in to get the turbo reconditioned.
its not that straight forward to remove the turbo. engine had to go up and over to get the turbo on and off, and then a few seized bolts. I did spot some other improvement we could make on the suspension witch hopefully ill get to soon

This Formula Ford came in with a misfire, it ended up a big job with a new fuel thank needed. also got the brakes and made the gear selector much better.

Billy White was the man to beat on the Irish Hillclimb scene this year, the Speed Developments head man completing an impressive season by clinching the Alekto sponsored championship at the final weekend of action.

This car will be used in rallying with a category 2 logbook. the floor was modified between the 2 links box and just out side the guideline drawing in FIA drawings Art 27.9.3.2.2 and shown in FIA
appendix J Drawings 279-1 and 279-2. also we lowered the seat mounts to fit a tall drive and comply with APPENDIX J – ARTICLE 253 Drawing 253-65
