Here is a new category of reading....books and food. So tonight I am in a Taiwanese restaurant in London and reading Summer by Edith Wharton. An excellent combination. The food is delicious and the book is a revelation, not what I was expecting. I am really enjoying it. It will be coming to a book bar with me tomorrow 😂

This book has been much anticipated and it is finally available to buy. This is a fascinating account of the first census taken in the independent Irish State in 1926.
The Story of Us brings together tales of life in towns, villages, cities and the wider countryside of Ireland. The stories of the people living in 1926 really bring the census to life.
This is not a coffee table book, it is a a living history of our families and ancestors.

Our April Book of the Month has been chosen by Emma. It is a classic 'who dunnit' based in the heart of Kilcraven, a small village west Cork, in 1988. It has been described as "having all the charm of an Irish thriller, wrapped in a soft cardigan and wearing wellies". Honestly, I am sold!
