Hi ho, hi ho, it’s off to SPAIN we go…..
for WINE OF THE WEEK! 🇪🇸
Haven’t had a vacation yet? Maybe you’ve just returned from Spain? Or perhaps these wines are exactly what you need to transport you to sunnier climes this weekend…
Bodegas Breca | Garnacha de Fuego | Spain
Garnacha de Fuego is a young, primary fruit expression of the oldest clones of Garnacha in the world, from the high altitude mountains of Calatayud in north east Spain. The altitudes, age of the vines, and slate dominant soils produce a wine of tremendous character and concentration, balanced by fresh acidity that provides balance and drinkability, and elegant minerality.
Traditional dry farmed viticulture. Organic Gobelet trained vines. Cultivated completely by hand, with minimal human intervention. The majority of the vineyards receive no treatments whatsoever.
Bodegas Aquitania | Albariño | Rias Baixas | Spain
DO Rias Baixas is renowned for the Albariño grape, producing world-class white wines in northwest Galicia, “Green Spain.” The mineral-rich soils and cool climate make Albariño the flagship of this coastal area, loved by wine enthusiasts, chefs, and sommeliers.
This superb, award winning wine, is produced by Bodegas Acquitania in the cool Galician vineyards of Rías Baixas. The wine shows great intensity with crisp apple scented fruit and layered mineral aromas. Perfectly balanced & elegant too.
Stop by. Try before you buy. Both bottles are open in store for tasting. Both bottles have a tasty little discount applied too. Then pick up some olives, maybe some tinned fish or gourmet crisps and have yourself a delicious tapas moment to savor.
