We are Two weeks out from our and we are kicking off with the introductions of the fab potters that will be joining us over the weekend of the 13th and 14th of June with .sonja 🥳. This will be Sonjas 6th year with us 🤗.

I have always been interested in the architectural and natural world that surrounds us. Most of my hand-built sculptural work over the past 20 years has been about exploring architectural features and the feelings that buildings can evoke, capturing human qualities in my work and through movement and distortion giving character and personality to the pieces. In recent years I have returned to wheel-based vessels. My current body of work is inspired by patterns found in nature, such as fissures in layers of rock, textures of dried earth or molten lava. I have been experimenting with different clay, clay/ slip combinations and reactive glazes, incorporating found natural objects and pushing the boundaries of a throwing technique using sodium silicate.

Here at the we try to be as sustainable where we can as possible 🥳. We reuse our old signage and get vinyls printed with new dates and any other images we need, so we can just attach those ourselves over the old info, also we found a way to reuse our cable ties🤗, cutting down on our plastic use and helping the environment re waste, and also saving money along the way 🥳, it takes us a bit more time in preparing our signage but we think it's worth it 🥰. In the video we are finding another purpose for a Christmas sign we use which now has a double purpose 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.
