We were delighted to welcome the group and especially grateful to Lucia Cloherty, whose beautiful sean-nós singing added something truly special to the occasion. It was a morning filled with music, conversation, community spirit, and a shared appreciation of culture, language, and books.

What a wonderful evening at our bookshop as part of Independent Bookshop Week 2026! 📚✨

A huge thank you to Dr Michael O’Connor for sharing his incredible knowledge and insights into the fascinating world of historical research, prison archives, and the stories hidden within Ireland’s past.

From exploring the lives of ordinary people through historical records to viewing the special display of historical papers and Robert Emmet’s Death Mask, it was an engaging and thought-provoking event enjoyed by all who attended.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an evening filled with learning, discussion, and a deeper appreciation of Mayo’s rich history.
