A wonderful celebration of 70 years of Éire Óg GAA Club (1956–2026) and 35 years of proud sponsorship by Swans Electrical.

To mark these two incredible milestones, a special photographic exhibition has been created, featuring thousands of photographs spanning the past 70 years, capturing unforgettable moments, great sporting achievements, familiar faces and the generations of people who have made Éire Óg such a special club.

It's a fantastic opportunity to take a trip down memory lane, relive wonderful memories and celebrate the history, friendships and community spirit that have brought us all together over the years.

The Official Presidential Handover

There could be no better man to follow in the footsteps of our former President, Lion Dan McInerney, than Lion Sean Swan, who will lead Carlow Lions Club into its 50th year.

As one of the club’s original members, it seems particularly fitting that Sean should serve as President during this historic milestone. He understands what it truly means to be a Lion and recognises how best to bring together the individual skills and strengths of every member, one of the defining qualities of a great President.

Everyone at Carlow Lions Club would once again like to thank Lion Dan McInerney for his leadership, commitment and the wonderful contribution he made throughout his year as President.

We warmly congratulate Lion Sean Swan on his appointment and wish him every success for what promises to be a very special year for Carlow Lions Club.
