The mugs from the last firing. I'm happy enough with the squirrels, the martens are painted with iron oxide which is so hard to judge on tin glaze, it can look strong and then fire softly. Like the swirls that have almost disappeared. Improved versions will be available in the spring.

Some fun mugs going in the last firing before Christmas this evening.

Finally got around to finishing this lustre box, it takes hours to attach all the suede to the contact areas and make the lid support and closing pin. A bit of golden sparkle for Christmas.

The platter in the third photo didn't fair so well, dunting in the firing. Now repaired and hanging in the kitchen. Too good to bin!

Tiles out of a lustre firing I unpacked today. These were the first things to come out, nothing else came close to being as good! They are tiles that my father made about 30 years ago and only ever bisque fired them. So relieved they worked.
The photos are of just out of the kiln and then ochre rubbed off.
