Ropes made of HT polyester cause less squeaking than, for example, ropes made of polypropylene. Ultimately, any material can cause noise when rubbed against a surface. A protective cover around the rope or adjusting the angle of the dock lines is already a big improvement

Braided Polyester lines PES HT with Fluo-Ultra Yarn Additional is an ideal mooring rope.

It has a braided Nylon core, providing strength and stretch, and a braided in high tenacity Polyester yarn HT cover for excellent abrasion resistance.
As a mooring line it intentionally has approximatly 10% stretch

Polyester lines as opposed to polypropylene are heavier than water Specific gravity of 1.38 which means it will not float.
Polyester has no strength loss when wet, it is flexible and has good abrasion resistance.
Polyester fibres also have good resistance to chemicals and have a melting point of 295°C.

Ropes made from HT-polyester causes less creaking sound than, for example, a rope made of polypropylene. Ultimately, any material can make a some noise when rubbing against a surface. A protective cover cover around the rope or adjusting the angle of your docklines already be a big improvement.
