🐑 Top Price per Kilo on the Day! 🏆

These outstanding lambs topped the trade at €4.72/kg, weighing 40.5kg and selling for €191 per head. A superb result and a testament to the quality of stock on offer.

🔹🐑 Ballinrobe Sheep Sale Report – 6th of August 🔹

✅ 131 lots sold with only three lots unsold on the day. Trade remained strongest for lambs weighing 40kg-50kg, returning the highest average price per kilo at €3.55/kg and producing the top price of €191 per head.

✅ The largest entry was in the 30kg-40kg category, with 63 lots sold. These lambs averaged €123.54/head and €3.47/kg, showing a strong and consistent trade across the middle-weight lambs.

✅ Heavy lambs over 50kg averaged €156.50/head, with a top call of €178/head, while lighter lambs under 30kg averaged €80.81/head and peaked at €117/head.

✅ The overall market saw prices range from €46 to €191 per head, while returns per kilo ranged from €2.09/kg to €4.72/kg, highlighting excellent demand for well-fleshed quality lambs throughout the sale.

✅ Top performance on the day came from the 40kg-50kg section, which delivered both the highest average €/kg and the highest individual price per head, making it the standout weight bracket of the sale.

✅ The top price of the day was €250/head for a 90kg cull sheep, while several other lots exceeded the €200 mark, highlighting strong buyer interest in heavier and well-finished sheep.
