Traffic Management Plan

Reposal of the late Ollie Hanley RIP from his home F42 X436 on Sunday from 4pm to 7pm. One-way system in place. Entry from Ballymurray/Sandfield side (P.J Doyle's). Exit via Shaughnessy's side/towards Scrine (left) and Roscommon (right). Stewards will be in place for guidance. Extreme caution when parking in field as per signage. Older persons or those with difficulty walking, please advise steward who will send you directly to the house.

PLEASE SHARE - If your gas stops working unexpectedly during this cold snap, please don't assume your cylinder is empty. Before ordering a replacement, pour a kettle of warm (not boiling) water over the shoulder of the cylinder. The gas may be frozen within and it should start working again. You paid enough for your gas - no point giving back a cylinder without fully using its contents. Neil from Connaughtonfuels.ie.

Bad news reminder. Carbon Tax on fuels goes up tomorrow week - 1st May. Extra cost per tonne of coal is €22.42 (Carbon tax increase AND 13.5% VAT together). Should be deferred with cost already very expensive. Neil.

We are on the move. While we really enjoyed our time in Baylough, Athlone, the premises we had leased has now been sold and we are seeking out a new "home" for Connaughtonfuels.ie. We are not sure where we are moving to yet, but our free delivery service, our online ordering system and our contact numbers, email & website remain the very same. I will update here when I know more. We move out this weekend. I want to thank our landlord and wish the new owners every success in the premises. Neil.

PLEASE SHARE If your large (red 47kg) gas unexpectedly seems empty this morning, there may be a simple fix. Pour a kettle of lukewarm water around the neck of the bottle in case the gas itself is frozen. Repeat if required. NB The run-off water will freeze and become very dangerous. Cover with a wheelie bin or anything you've got, so nobody walks on this area.

Does anybody else get annoyed when Ministers and, in particular, Junior Ministers, have to mention MY DEPARTMENT multiple times during every interview ?? They seem to forget that the department was there before they got there and will be there after them. They would do some blowing if they actually created something.
