Donegal Designer Makers brings together some of the best designers and artisan craftpeople in the county. Since it was founded in 2009 it has been dedicated to showcasing the work of the current exponents of a long tradition of excellence in craft and design in Donegal. Membership of the network is carefully selecte
d and acting as a collective facilitates exhibitions and workshops nationally and internationally. The network comprises the work of acclaimed and established makers alongside the work of new and emerging designer makers. Bringing a rich variety of craft and design outcomes together including wood, basketry, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, batik and photography. Since forming the group have become recognised in the sector for its standards and creativity, the flair and individuality of its exhibitions and a professional approach to development and funding. We also lead in showing that good design need not always be expensive or imported as our members make work at all prices…… but only the highest quality.
