Considering the limitation of the germanium and silicone transistors, we combine both types. The hi-gain and inexpensive silicone transistors combine with the smooth-but-expensive germanium transistors. The result is a medium gain fuzz with smooth compression. It’s aggresive but cleans up easily (with the guitar volume turn down).
