This piece of wooden necklace was made by late sculpturer, Tong King Sum (1940 – 2008). One night in 1995, his wife was busy choosing her outfit for a banquet taking place the next day. She wanted a jewelry piece with character and style while not being overwhelming. Tong knew then, that he needed to give her a necklace that will be second to none. A necklace of handcrafted wooden beads meticulously strung on a delicate leather strap appeared on her bedside table the next morning.
