It was back in 2010 as a young member of Triumph Assemblies of God Church with the blessings of our beloved Pastor Vishnodat Sugrim, that the inner love for all things crafty and unique was al
lowed to blossom in projects for the various events and activities on the church calendar. This would continue with the new chapter as a mother to a child in the Kindergarten years with various school projects. It simultaneously meant that I had the time to work and play while my child was at school – as I was a stay at home mom. During this time, the simple hand-made tokens were always the center of attention and soon became the items to look forward to for events and special occasions. It also meant that there were always materials on hand to surprise someone with a last minute gift with requests coming from family and friends. This is the short fun filled era that led to the birth of Creative Craft Expressions! On April 1, 2015 the first official steps were taken to have a go at a business out of a hobby. It started on social media, followed by the legal registration and development. The creation of a page and Instagram account with photos of previously done items was the springboard and that has brought us to this point today. In the early days, our main line of item was paper craft: handmade cards, flowers and treat boxes. Today we have morphed to cater to the requests of an ever-growing social media following which has seen us introduce machine made and printed tokens the likes of coffee mugs, jigsaw puzzles, baby onesies, throw pillows and Christmas ornaments. Constant investment in tools and endless hours of research keeps us ahead of the pack and it gives us great joy when our pieces are compared to images found on the more popular sites like Pinterest. The intrigue of customers and the feedback from recipients of our tokens has also led us to start offering for sale some of our previously personal packaging materials. These are specially prepared for fellow small business owners who wish to add that extra touch to their clients with notecards and tags. More notable in our packaging materials however is our locally made Crinkle Stuffing which is sought after by gift basket makers, bakers, cosmetics vendors and just about all those who have an eye for detail and want that professional touch to their final presentation.
