🇬🇷 The Parthenon stands free — no scaffolding after 15 years! 🏛

After 15 years of continuous restoration, the western side of the Parthenon is finally unveiled — offering Athenians and visitors alike a rare, breathtaking view of the monument as it once was.

On September 30, 2025, workers removed the last sections of scaffolding from the west façade, revealing the pure, timeless beauty of the Parthenon for the first time since 2010. This marks a symbolic milestone for Greek heritage and cultural preservation.

Although restoration work continues in other parts of the monument, future interventions will be carried out with lighter, less intrusive structures, ensuring that the Parthenon’s iconic silhouette remains visible to all.
