Some discoveries are worth waiting for.

Published in the historic Greek art magazine Zygos (Issue 101–102, April–May 1964), this remarkable painting by Paulos Moschidis is documented under the title “Woman in a Café”, accompanying a feature dedicated to the artist with a text by Yannis Tsarouchis.

A rare work with documented provenance and a second original composition on the reverse of the canvas.

Armando Spadini (1883–1925)“Testa di Bambina”Oil on canvas, 25 × 30 cm

An atmospheric and highly expressive early 20th century Italian portrait study by Armando Spadini, executed with the artist’s characteristic free brushwork and luminous tonal transitions.

Provenance:Galleria dell’Arte, Via Borgospesso 12, Milano (historic gallery label verso), with handwritten inscription “A. Spadini” and title “Testa di bambina”. Additional handwritten reference “Ghiglione”, connected to the historic Italian collector and early supporter of Spadini, avv. Ghiglione.

The reverse preserves original gallery labels, period backing paper and historic collection markings.
